Welcome to the DIY Wiki

A wiki is a user-created encyclopedia. With your help, we're building the most extensive stash of do-it-yourself info anywhere!

We've started the DIY Wiki with info published in past issues of Do It Yourself magazine. We really need your help to grow this awesome resource. Share your knowledge with other DIYers and be a part of this ever-evolving encyclopedia.

  • Get Started: Click on your topic of interest below or to the left. Find info and see what others have posted.
  • Ask a question: Just click the EasyEdit button at the top of a page and type your question.
  • Make an entry: Click the EasyEdit button on any page and type away! You can even upload photos to illustrate your point.
  • Start a new page: Click "Add a new page" to the right in the Page Toolbox to share your ideas.

We've started the Do It Yourself Wiki with many instructive pages explaining simple tools, building materials, and more.

  1. Building Materials
  2. Cabinets
  3. Fasteners and Adhesives
  4. General
  5. Paint and Wallpaper
