I found a DIY easy to install stone at InsulStone. The product is a concrete stone made in incremental sizes to fit together like a puzzle, but the nearest part is it has an adhesive backing on part of the backside. You use a caulking gun to apply the adhesive to the backside of the stone and peel the paper off of the adhesive and stick it to the wall (sheetrock, concrete, wood and other things) The adhesive sets firm is about 4 hours. No mortar, No mess. Just a tile saw, caulking gun and level. Great for around fireplaces, behind stoves, backsplash or accent walls. An economical, easy to use stone system.
